This second booklet will permit you to discover more about the Stay active, Stay healty program. Its main goal is to familiarise you with the tools which we have created and also the different alternative methods to help you highlight to their full potential in a confinement setting.
Activity cards
Booklet No. 2 includes a deck with 20 blue cards showing the exercises in the “Sit & be fit” routine. We strongly recommend doing a 5-minute warm-up before starting the activity since there is no particular order to the exercises.
You can purchase these cards by contacting us at the FQLI office. The set contains the English versions of the cards from booklets 1 and 2, a total of 40 cards for $15.

This first booklet is an introduction to the Stay Active, Stay Healthy program. Its purpose is to familiarize yourself with the many tools we’ve developed for you, including suggestions on how to make the most of the materials.
Staying Active Every Day
The title of this booklet reflects our aim of offering recreation specialists and seniors in care facilities various ways of integrating physical exercise into their daily routines. The time of day, duration, intensity and approach are all up to the individual.
Aims of booklet No. 1
• Encourage seniors to adopt a healthy lifestyle by being active every day.
• Show that every small action can make a difference.
• Demonstrate to recreation specialists the many options available in physical exercise services adapted to seniors in care centres.
